My Favorite Train Trip
Since I was little I have liked the trains very much. Maybe it is because in Venezuela there is no railroad network as in many other countries, maybe because they remind me the childhood trips across North America in a train cabin overnight or maybe because of the fantastic romantic effect they have as cinematographic scenario in many stories.
My favorite train ride is in this scale model, without leaving home in Caracas, one of the best presents I have ever received in the life — and I was already an adult. A difficult part of my trip moving from Caracas to Barcelona was to disassemble it, it was an almost symbolic act 13 years ago. 2×1 meters of surface, almost impossible to have it here in Barcelona as the real state square meter is very expensive and it is also complex to bring it from Venezuela.
This are not the best pictures I could have taken, but I post them because of the love I have for this set more than any other reason and because it was one of the physical things I had hard time leaving behind when moving.
